summer of '67

I remember when I first moved to Whitby Ontario in the summer of 1967, it was Centennial and I was 8 years old and everything was exiting!  I used to go to the nearby Mac's Milk store (back when Macs has the cat in tartan as a mascot) and bring pop bottle back (2cents each for a small glass bottle) and then of course buy penny candy, chips or a chocolate bar ($.05 to $.10 denpending on size) or on a really hot day a popcycle ($.05).  I also remember going to the store with a quarter and getting a loaf of bread for $.19 and getting to spend the change on goodies.  A lot of good memories.
